Elon Musk made public today that the Tesla model 3, a smaller model to compete with the BMW 3 Series, is going into production in 2 years and will be available at a reasonable price of $35,000. Next March the car will be revealed and preorders will start. Many are excited about the chance to own a car that has been only available at much higher retail prices. The car is being hyped as something totally different from what is on the road today but at the same time not being weird to drive.
The Tesla Model X has been open for preorders and just recently the company began accepting customization requests on those preorders. Both cars should be widely popular in the same way the Tesla Model S has been, just breaking user satisfaction records.
