Valeo Cameras Installed on new BMW 7 Series

The wave of the future in automotive safety is perfect visibility in all situations according to a recent Valeo press release. Valeo has begun to install 3 camera systems into new BMW 7 Series automobiles. With these camera systems there is a rear camera which provides wide angle images of the terrain behind you car. Distances are enforced on the images with dynamic lines drawn, which change as you begin to move your car in reverse. Ultrasonic sensors also display obstacles that you are approaching long before you need to make adjustments.

Similar cameras and sensors are installed on the front of the car to provide perfect visibility and warnings about oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and bicycles. In future models, five cameras will be used to give a panoramic view of one's surroundings.
