Apple’s MacBook Air Debuts
The new Apple MacBook Air has recently been demonstrated by Steve Jobs to the public and is receiving great reviews. With two different models, a 11.6” and a 13.3”, the MacBook Air has all the convenience of the iPad but with a keyboard. Pricing starts at $999 for the smaller model and $1,299 for the 13.3” model. One advantage of the 13.3” model is a couple more hours of battery life in addition to the larger screen resolution.
Standard features include the Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, Nvidia GeForce 320m GPU, 2GB DDR3 memory, and 802.11n Wi-Fi. Drive space varies depending on the price you select. But this is the ultra portable Mac that anyone can afford and should sell very well this holiday season. Better than the original Air systems, these new devices are well priced and have the power consumers need to get everyday tasks done. Visit your local Apple store to get a complete feel for the quality of the ultra-laptop.
For users that need more memory and processing power, the MacBook Pro is a little bit heavier and sells at a higher price point. But the MacBook Air has some great new features like quick start (10-15 seconds), super-fast hibernate and awake times, plus a quality keyboard and trackpad.
