WalMart Looking to Increase Tech Sales
WalMart reported today in a press release that they are revamping their electronic areas to have wider aisles and more brand names. All 3,500 WalMart stores nationally will get improved consumer electronic areas beginning this week with more mobile solutions and home entertainment devices. WalMart has continued to take market share away from traditional electronic outlets like Circuit City and Best Buy and plans to continue the current trend.
Some of the new features include a bigger selection Blue-Ray players, an area to experience Blue-Ray first hand, more High Definition 1080p Television Sets, a 30% expanded wireless area, and an improved laptop sales area featuring Dell, HP, and Toshiba brands.

I think Walmart did pretty well about the tech sales. I remembered one of reasons that makes Circuitcity to be bankruptcy is they can't manage to beat Bestbuy and Walmart.

walmart keeps growing, growing, growing... good for them... and i don't think this will be the last we hear from them in terms of improving what they offer, in turn enhancing the customer's experience...
