If Android phones need anything, it's a bit more space; and SanDisk's 400GB microSD card delivers just that.
The new 400GB card, a staggering 144GB bigger than the largest currently on the market, may be the biggest that many people ever need.
The large size makes it perfect for Android smartphones that support the microSDXC standard. Using SanDisk's UHS-I technology, it's also fast enough to deliver video on the go, opening up a world of opportunities.
Where it really comes into its own, however, is when it's used as internal storage. This is a feature of modern Android devices that treats the external SD card as its own memory - for apps, photos and anything else you might like to put on it.
For comparison, 400GB is almost twice the storage available to owners of the biggest iPhone on the market.
What does that mean in real terms? According to Western Digital, 400GB is enough to store around 40 hours of high definition video. If that's still a little abstract, using figures from C|Net, it works out to around 100,000 high quality MP3 songs.
Speed is also important, and SanDisk have made sure that their 400GB card supports the A1 App Performance Class. This enables the card to be used at almost the same speed as internal memory, loading apps and data at native internal speeds.
If you're expecting a huge price tag, then perhaps the $250 target price will be a surprise. It's not that much more than the SanDisk 256GB card already on the market.
In addition, SanDisk offers a 10 year manufacturer's warranty (limited, naturally) backed by one of the strongest names in portable storage.
It's almost enough to make one want to go out and buy a new device to make the most of the new card!
