February 27 sees the introduction of the new business version of Office. Office 365 was recently released, with users paying an affordable $8 for a monthly subscription.
The Home Premium version of Office 365 comes with several useful features and accessories, including 60 minutes of worldwide phone calls through Skype, and the use of Publisher, Access, Excel, Word and Outlook. Subscribers also enjoy 20GB of cloud storage in SkyDrive for the yearly subscription of $99.99.
Subscribers enjoy automatic updates, and the application works with up to five laptops, desktop PCs and tablets.
Microsoft's CEO, Steve Ballmer pointed out that a big step in the company's move to being a services and device business had been taken. Ballmer also explained that the home premium version of Microsoft Office 365 was different because of the array of social benefits as well as new cloud features.
Several other versions of Office were also released at the same time, some of which offered the same features and extras as Office 365. users looking for the most important features but with no unnecessary extras may want to purchase Office Home and Student 2013 which includes OneNote, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. The package costs $139.99 for a year for one device. At $399.99 per year, Office Professional 2013 offers Publisher and Access and the subscription covers one PC, while Office Home and Business offers some of the features of Home and Student, but at a cost of $219.99. At the lower end of the price range is Office 365 University and subscribers can enjoy access to many extras that come with Office 365.
February 27 sees the release of the new Office product.
