Tim Cook: CEO Of Apple

TimCookApple

According to Apple's CEO, any business should have the same positive values that individuals do. During his time at the helm of this company, he has only lost his temper one time. This incident happened in 2014, during an annual meeting with the corporation's shareholders. One particular representative for a conservative consultancy wanted the CEO to make some certain decisions that would only prove to be profitable for Apple.

Tim Cook retorted that his company doesn't care about the ROI, so much as improving the lives of customers through technology. One example is Apple's creation of accessible devices for the sight-impaired. He said that individual shareholders who only care about the return on investment should stop doing business with Apple.

Twitter Puts The Brakes On Yiannopoulos Trollings

Milo Yiannopoulos

Twitter has finally decided to put the brakes on the troll coalition. The site has permanently banned head troll Milo Yiannopoulos, who is an editor at a conservative news outlet.

Yiannopoulos was notorious for trolling celebrities on Twitter. In fact, he just recently launched an attack on Leslie Jones, the "Ghostbusters" actress. Leslie apparently quit Twitter because of the trollings of this troll, who had 300,000 followers.

The troll group bombarded Jones with countless racist and sexist remarks. Even worse, they created fake messages that they designed to look as if they were coming from her account. She quit Twitter on Monday with much regret in her post.

Awesome Instagram Stats For Your Business

Instagram Stats

With almost half a billion active users today what makes a lot of sense for your business to maintain an Instagram presence and have access to this huge number of Instagram users. It's not as simple as it looks though.

To be successful in promoting a product or service in this social media platform requires thorough analysis of demographics data to come up with the right marketing campaign for any specific product or service. This means that the demographics determine how the content should be written, how the images should be presented. Even how emojis should be used.

The amount of attention that any of your post potentially gets depends on how many followers you have. For example, to get at least 100 likes each time you post, your account should have more than 2,000 followers.

Get Ready The Pokémon Go App Is Dropping In The USA

PokemonGo

Pokémon Go is now available for iOS and Android in the US

Score! Pokémon Go, the wildly anticipated reality game with a backing from Nintendo, is on its way to Android and iOS devices today.

In May, this fan-powerhouse was released in beta in the U.S. and it also seems to be coming out for many other iOS and Android users same day. At first, the app will be limited to New Zealand and while that seems strange, it is quite common. This first step is often a sign of a worldwide launching with imminent hints at expansion. At the time of this article, this highly-anticipated app is not available in the U.S. or the UK. While these two major markets are being left out currently, we expect that it will be more readily available at some point throughout Wednesday.

Google Instant Apps

InstantLoading

Google has released a new feature that allows smart phone users the ability to work with Apps without installing them, its called Google Instant App. Users can click on a link and the phone App will be ready to use almost instantly. So if someone you know has an App installed that they want you to take a look at, but you don’t have the App yourself, click on a link and that the App page is available. Like the way to Internet used to work before everything became App based.

The new feature takes an App and breaks it into smaller parts called Atoms that perform just some features of the larger App. Thus the Atom opens quickly because it is very small in comparison to the complete App, and it performs just like the App because it is an actual piece of it. The links can be passed around and opened in Google Play.

Twitter's NFL Deal Might Change The Landscape For TV Sports

TwitterNFL

Twitter recently signed a deal with the National Football League that might help social networks finally take on major broadcasters.

The mainstream media has long been concerned with the idea that major technology firms would take on TV companies in order to acquire the rights to premium content rather than relying on original material.

Software companies have so far strayed away from these plans, saying that they're platform companies that don't create original content.

Now, however, it's become clear that statements about not acquiring major content were just smoke and mirrors to hide the true motives of these companies.

Flixster And Rotten Tomatoes Acquired By Fandango

Fandango_logo

Fandango has today announced its latest move in expanding beyond movie ticketing. The NBC Universal-owned company has taken control of the previously Warner Bros. Entertainment owned Flixster and Rotten Tomatoes

Rotten Tomatoes has previously received many complaints from people concerned about its influence on general film criticism - a situation borne from its well-known role as a movie review aggregator.  Flixster; meanwhile, is popular with those wanting to educate themselves about particular movies. The acquisition does not include the Flixster Video streaming service meaning that that particular service will cease to exist shortly. However, the two acquired services will continue in their present guise as standalone apps/websites.

Rotten Tomatoes is no stranger to a change of ownership, having come under the control of Flixster in 2010 and subsequently Warner Bros. in 2011. Now it is the turn of Fandango to fall under the minority ownership of Warner Bros.

YouTube Music App For A Low Effort - High Reward Entertainment Experience

YoutubeMusicApp

The new Youtube Music App is the latest development and release launched by YouTube's popular music video and entertainment platform.

Although aspiring musicians have always used the original platform as a way of creating exposure leading to fame, it has never been specifically targeted towards such musicians. But with the launching of YouTube Music for Android and iOS this has all changed. For a 14-day free trial period, musicians can experience and sample the full service before becoming fully-fledged subscribers and users for $9.99.

One of the best benefits of the YouTube Music app is in having easy access to your favorite videos. For example, a rare song that not many people have watched it.

This new app should not be seen as a replacement for Google Play Music, but one of its main aims is still to sell subscriptions and individual music tracks.

Users can customize the warning to only display when going a certain amount over the speed limit, and it can be disabled entirely should you choose.
